Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the were Cofinimmo SA (EBR:), which rose 1.27% or 0.75 points to trade at 59.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Melexis NV (EBR:) added 1.21% or 1.00 points to end at 83.45 and Elia (EBR:) was up 1.18% or 1.05 points to 89.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Solvay SA (EBR:), which fell 1.61% or 0.55 points to trade at 33.51 at the close. Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:) declined 1.15% or 0.64 points to end at 55.14 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR:) was down 1.15% or 2.40 points to 206.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 59 to 38 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.07% or 25.35 to $2,394.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.38% or 0.32 to hit $84.20 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.21 to trade at $87.64 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 104.63.
