Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the added 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the were Aperam SA (AS:), which rose 1.99% or 0.48 points to trade at 24.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Solvay SA (EBR:) added 1.89% or 0.62 points to end at 33.49 and Proximus NV (EBR:) was up 1.48% or 0.11 points to 7.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Umicore SA (EBR:), which fell 2.07% or 0.29 points to trade at 13.74 at the close. Argen-X (EBR:) declined 1.25% or 5.10 points to end at 403.50 and Groep Brussel Lambert NV (EBR:) was up 0.08% or 0.05 points to 66.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 55 to 40 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.10% or 2.35 to $2,337.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.75% or 1.43 to hit $82.97 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.64% or 1.39 to trade at $86.39 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 105.60.
