Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the gained 0.50% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the were Argen-X (EBR:), which rose 3.58% or 16.80 points to trade at 486.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Cofinimmo SA (EBR:) added 3.11% or 1.95 points to end at 64.75 and Elia (EBR:) was up 2.97% or 2.95 points to 102.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UCB SA (EBR:), which fell 2.83% or 4.65 points to trade at 159.60 at the close. Syensqo SA (EBR:) declined 1.90% or 1.40 points to end at 72.10 and Galapagos NV (AS:) was down 1.78% or 0.46 points to 25.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 48 to 45 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.49% or 12.40 to $2,538.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.36% or 0.25 to hit $69.45 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.37% or 0.27 to trade at $72.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 101.08.
