Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the added 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the were Argen-X (EBR:), which rose 2.33% or 11.30 points to trade at 497.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Solvay SA (EBR:) added 2.29% or 0.85 points to end at 38.00 and Melexis NV (EBR:) was up 1.27% or 0.90 points to 71.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Umicore SA (EBR:), which fell 2.34% or 0.26 points to trade at 10.86 at the close. Proximus NV (EBR:) declined 1.28% or 0.09 points to end at 6.57 and Elia (EBR:) was down 0.98% or 0.95 points to 95.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 53 to 43 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Solvay SA (EBR:) rose to all time highs; up 2.29% or 0.85 to 38.00.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.51% or 13.60 to $2,662.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.51% or 1.90 to hit $73.66 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.35% or 1.86 to trade at $77.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 103.03.
