Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the added 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the were Aedifica (EBR:), which rose 3.16% or 1.75 points to trade at 57.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Elia (EBR:) added 3.10% or 1.90 points to end at 63.20 and Cofinimmo SA (EBR:) was up 3.09% or 1.60 points to 53.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Argen-X (EBR:), which fell 1.74% or 11.40 points to trade at 642.20 at the close. Ackermans & Van Haaren NV (EBR:) declined 1.72% or 3.30 points to end at 188.80 and Galapagos NV (AS:) was down 1.36% or 0.32 points to 23.16.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 65 to 27 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.18% or 31.56 to $2,713.86 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.36% or 1.80 to hit $78.17 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.94% or 1.55 to trade at $81.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 109.01.
