Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the added 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the were Argen-X (EBR:), which rose 4.11% or 19.20 points to trade at 486.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Cofinimmo SA (EBR:) added 2.16% or 1.30 points to end at 61.40 and Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:) was up 2.09% or 0.50 points to 24.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galapagos NV (AS:), which fell 2.46% or 0.58 points to trade at 22.98 at the close. Elia (EBR:) declined 1.55% or 1.50 points to end at 95.20 and Umicore SA (EBR:) was down 0.87% or 0.10 points to 11.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 66 to 24 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Umicore SA (EBR:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 0.87% or 0.10 to 11.40.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.34% or 8.30 to $2,471.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.66% or 0.50 to hit $76.69 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.49% or 0.39 to trade at $79.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.91.
