Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the fell 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the were Lotus Bakeries (EBR:), which rose 1.82% or 220.00 points to trade at 12,280.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Elia (EBR:) added 1.76% or 1.50 points to end at 86.80 and UCB SA (EBR:) was up 1.60% or 2.90 points to 184.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Umicore SA (EBR:), which fell 5.07% or 0.57 points to trade at 10.68 at the close. Syensqo SA (EBR:) declined 3.90% or 3.14 points to end at 77.38 and Galapagos NV (AS:) was down 1.64% or 0.42 points to 25.12.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 54 to 39 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in UCB SA (EBR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.60% or 2.90 to 184.40.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.48% or 13.10 to $2,692.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.87% or 2.08 to hit $70.28 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.51% or 1.90 to trade at $73.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.93% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 105.00.
