Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the fell 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the were Solvay SA (EBR:), which rose 2.32% or 0.89 points to trade at 39.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Proximus NV (EBR:) added 1.81% or 0.12 points to end at 6.74 and Aedifica (EBR:) was up 1.18% or 0.75 points to 64.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KBC Groep NV (EBR:), which fell 1.33% or 0.92 points to trade at 68.46 at the close. UCB SA (EBR:) declined 1.21% or 2.10 points to end at 171.20 and Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:) was down 0.93% or 0.56 points to 59.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 49 to 45 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.18% or 4.90 to $2,683.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.30% or 0.21 to hit $70.37 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.18% or 0.13 to trade at $74.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.40% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 103.28.
