Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the declined 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the were Solvay SA (EBR:), which rose 2.37% or 0.91 points to trade at 39.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Syensqo SA (EBR:) added 2.03% or 1.47 points to end at 74.03 and Elia (EBR:) was up 1.35% or 1.30 points to 97.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:), which fell 5.02% or 1.18 points to trade at 22.34 at the close. Proximus NV (EBR:) declined 3.89% or 0.26 points to end at 6.42 and UCB SA (EBR:) was down 1.87% or 3.30 points to 173.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 48 to 44 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Solvay SA (EBR:) rose to all time highs; up 2.37% or 0.91 to 39.35. Shares in Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 5.02% or 1.18 to 22.34.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.89% or 24.00 to $2,731.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.85% or 1.31 to hit $69.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.80% or 1.34 to trade at $73.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 103.40.
