Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the declined 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the were Cofinimmo SA (EBR:), which rose 1.78% or 1.15 points to trade at 65.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Aedifica (EBR:) added 1.76% or 1.10 points to end at 63.50 and Sofina (EBR:) was up 0.92% or 2.00 points to 220.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Umicore SA (EBR:), which fell 3.24% or 0.34 points to trade at 10.15 at the close. Aperam SA (AS:) declined 2.61% or 0.62 points to end at 23.14 and Syensqo SA (EBR:) was down 2.16% or 1.56 points to 70.54.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 58 to 32 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Umicore SA (EBR:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.24% or 0.34 to 10.15. Shares in Aperam SA (AS:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.61% or 0.62 to 23.14.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.64% or 16.25 to $2,526.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.26% or 1.56 to hit $67.59 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.26% or 1.64 to trade at $71.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.20.
