Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the fell 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the were Galapagos NV (AS:), which rose 2.33% or 0.60 points to trade at 26.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Melexis NV (EBR:) added 1.16% or 0.90 points to end at 78.20 and KBC Groep NV (EBR:) was up 1.15% or 0.76 points to 67.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were D’Ieteren NV (EBR:), which fell 4.94% or 10.40 points to trade at 200.00 at the close. Cofinimmo SA (EBR:) declined 1.04% or 0.70 points to end at 66.70 and Sofina (EBR:) was down 0.90% or 2.20 points to 243.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 49 to 39 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.45 to $2,543.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.33% or 1.53 to hit $67.28 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.85% or 1.28 to trade at $70.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.67.
