Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the lost 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the were UCB SA (EBR:), which rose 0.96% or 1.70 points to trade at 179.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Galapagos NV (AS:) added 0.60% or 0.16 points to end at 26.84 and Syensqo SA (EBR:) was up 0.20% or 0.15 points to 73.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elia (EBR:), which fell 3.65% or 3.40 points to trade at 89.85 at the close. Cofinimmo SA (EBR:) declined 2.29% or 1.40 points to end at 59.80 and Aperam SA (AS:) was down 1.64% or 0.42 points to 25.22.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 67 to 34 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in UCB SA (EBR:) rose to all time highs; rising 0.96% or 1.70 to 179.70.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.01% or 27.80 to $2,783.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.34% or 0.23 to hit $67.15 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.46% or 0.33 to trade at $70.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 104.22.
