Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the lost 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the were Aperam SA (AS:), which rose 3.68% or 1.00 points to trade at 28.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Solvay SA (EBR:) added 1.62% or 0.56 points to end at 35.20 and Argen-X (EBR:) was up 1.44% or 6.90 points to 485.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were D’Ieteren NV (EBR:), which fell 3.56% or 7.00 points to trade at 189.90 at the close. Aedifica (EBR:) declined 2.40% or 1.55 points to end at 62.90 and Umicore SA (EBR:) was down 2.35% or 0.28 points to 11.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 64 to 34 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Solvay SA (EBR:) rose to all time highs; up 1.62% or 0.56 to 35.20.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.47% or 12.55 to $2,655.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.95% or 0.65 to hit $68.83 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.96% or 0.69 to trade at $72.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 100.36.
