Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the declined 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the were Aedifica (EBR:), which rose 0.42% or 0.25 points to trade at 60.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Argen-X (EBR:) added 0.12% or 0.60 points to end at 511.60 and Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:) was up 0.09% or 0.02 points to 22.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Melexis NV (EBR:), which fell 12.74% or 8.90 points to trade at 60.95 at the close. Solvay SA (EBR:) declined 3.37% or 1.29 points to end at 37.03 and Syensqo SA (EBR:) was down 3.26% or 2.39 points to 71.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 73 to 22 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Melexis NV (EBR:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 12.74% or 8.90 to 60.95.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.53% or 14.65 to $2,795.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.08% or 1.40 to hit $68.61 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.99% or 1.41 to trade at $72.14 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.52% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 103.94.
