Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the fell 1.82% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Solvay SA (EBR:), which rose 2.61% or 0.82 points to trade at 32.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Elia (EBR:) added 2.19% or 1.85 points to end at 86.25 and Ageas (EBR:) was up 0.91% or 0.44 points to 48.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UCB SA (EBR:), which fell 6.04% or 10.75 points to trade at 167.25 at the close. Lotus Bakeries (EBR:) declined 5.00% or 600.00 points to end at 11,400.00 and Argen-X (EBR:) was down 5.00% or 28.40 points to 539.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 65 to 28 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.30% or 7.70 to $2,565.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.75% or 1.20 to hit $67.50 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.53% or 1.11 to trade at $71.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.55% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 106.50.
