Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the rose 0.06% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the were Lojas Renner SA (BVMF:), which rose 4.12% or 0.73 points to trade at 18.43 at the close. Meanwhile, MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA (BVMF:) added 4.00% or 0.30 points to end at 7.80 and Vale SA (BVMF:) was up 3.45% or 2.00 points to 60.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sao Martinho SA (BVMF:), which fell 3.29% or 1.00 points to trade at 29.40 at the close. Hypera SA (BVMF:) declined 2.76% or 0.85 points to end at 29.90 and Dexco SA (BVMF:) was down 2.75% or 0.23 points to 8.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 475 to 443 and 74 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.19% to 26.19.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 5.20 to $2,560.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.16% or 1.67 to hit $75.75 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 2.42% or 6.05 to trade at $255.70 .
USD/BRL was up 0.37% to 5.52, while EUR/BRL rose 0.40% to 6.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 100.46.
