Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were 3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas Sa (BVMF:), which rose 9.05% or 1.75 points to trade at 21.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Caixa Seguridade Participacoes SA (BVMF:) added 4.55% or 0.65 points to end at 14.95 and Ambev SA (BVMF:) was up 4.53% or 0.60 points to 13.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF:), which fell 4.09% or 0.18 points to trade at 4.22 at the close. Embraer SA (BVMF:) declined 2.66% or 1.53 points to end at 56.08 and Ez Tec SA (BVMF:) was down 2.53% or 0.31 points to 11.93.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 565 to 412 and 56 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ez Tec SA (BVMF:) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.53% or 0.31 to 11.93.
The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 5.29% to 32.03.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.26% or 6.91 to $2,665.41 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.70% or 1.84 to hit $69.94 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract fell 0.03% or 0.08 to trade at $295.97 .
USD/BRL was down 0.22% to 6.04, while EUR/BRL fell 0.14% to 6.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 106.32.
