Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the gained 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the were WEG SA (BVMF:), which rose 10.23% or 4.69 points to trade at 50.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Tim Participacoes SA (BVMF:) added 6.11% or 1.00 points to end at 17.37 and Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:) was up 4.13% or 0.39 points to 9.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hypera SA (BVMF:), which fell 2.78% or 0.82 points to trade at 28.71 at the close. JBS SA (BVMF:) declined 2.43% or 0.84 points to end at 33.72 and Azul SA Pref (BVMF:) was down 1.60% or 0.13 points to 8.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 647 to 327 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in WEG SA (BVMF:) rose to all time highs; up 10.23% or 4.69 to 50.55.
The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.15% to 24.75.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.68% or 41.30 to $2,493.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 4.99% or 3.73 to hit $78.46 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 0.94% or 2.17 to trade at $228.63 .
USD/BRL was up 0.69% to 5.65, while EUR/BRL rose 0.76% to 6.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 103.83.
