Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the rose 1.29%.
The best performers of the session on the were JBS SA (BVMF:), which rose 7.11% or 2.20 points to trade at 33.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Azul SA Pref (BVMF:) added 6.87% or 0.53 points to end at 8.25 and Hypera SA (BVMF:) was up 5.48% or 1.53 points to 29.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref (BVMF:), which fell 23.31% or 1.93 points to trade at 6.35 at the close. Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (BVMF:) declined 1.30% or 0.68 points to end at 51.79 and Atacadao SA (BVMF:) was down 1.18% or 0.11 points to 9.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 638 to 294 and 60 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.36% or 32.00 to $2,385.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.92% or 1.50 to hit $76.78 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 1.77% or 4.15 to trade at $230.55 .
USD/BRL was up 0.21% to 5.66, while EUR/BRL unchanged 0.04% to 6.13.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 104.05.
