Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Embraer SA (BVMF:), which rose 4.17% or 2.00 points to trade at 49.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:) added 4.13% or 0.24 points to end at 6.05 and Magazine Luiza SA (BVMF:) was up 2.87% or 0.27 points to 9.67 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hapvida Participacoes e Investimentos (BVMF:), which fell 2.93% or 0.11 points to trade at 3.65 at the close. Petroleo Brasileiro SA (BVMF:) declined 1.83% or 0.74 points to end at 39.63 and Natura & Co SA (BVMF:) was down 1.68% or 0.25 points to 14.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 569 to 392 and 67 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.61% to 29.16.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.15% or 4.20 to $2,734.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.70% or 1.17 to hit $69.86 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 2.01% or 5.17 to trade at $252.13 .
USD/BRL was unchanged 0.09% to 5.70, while EUR/BRL rose 0.40% to 6.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 103.80.
