Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were BRF SA (BVMF:), which rose 2.66% or 0.62 points to trade at 23.89 at the close. Meanwhile, Marfrig Alimentos SA (BVMF:) added 2.54% or 0.34 points to end at 13.73 and 3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas Sa (BVMF:) was up 2.21% or 0.38 points to 17.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hapvida Participacoes e Investimentos (BVMF:), which fell 3.63% or 0.14 points to trade at 3.72 at the close. YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF:) declined 3.59% or 0.38 points to end at 10.20 and Hypera SA (BVMF:) was down 3.06% or 0.82 points to 25.94.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 527 to 400 and 60 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.60% or 16.10 to $2,707.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.55% or 0.39 to hit $70.78 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 1.67% or 4.32 to trade at $253.68 .
USD/BRL was down 0.13% to 5.66, while EUR/BRL fell 0.36% to 6.13.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 103.62.
