The best performers of the session on the were Tilray Inc (TSX:), which rose 7.27% or 0.16 points to trade at 2.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Seabridge Gold Inc . (TSX:) added 5.97% or 1.60 points to end at 28.39 and Sandstorm Gold Ltd . (TSX:) was up 5.66% or 0.48 points to 8.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were goeasy Ltd (TSX:), which fell 9.37% or 17.09 points to trade at 165.39 at the close. BRP Inc (TSX:) declined 7.60% or 5.87 points to end at 71.35 and Toromont Industries Ltd . (TSX:) was down 4.11% or 5.53 points to 129.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 467 to 440 and 115 ended unchanged.
Shares in Seabridge Gold Inc. (TSX:) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 5.97% or 1.60 to 28.39. Shares in BRP Inc (TSX:) fell to 3-years lows; down 7.60% or 5.87 to 71.35. Shares in Sandstorm Gold Ltd. (TSX:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.66% or 0.48 to 8.96.
The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P/TSX Composite options, was up 2.97% to 11.45.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.85% or 23.35 to $2,762.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.96% or 1.37 to hit $71.41 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.92% or 1.43 to trade at $75.72 a barrel.
CAD/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 0.72, while CAD/EUR unchanged 0.24% to 0.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.90.
