Meanwhile, Altus Group Limited (TSX:) added 5.94% or 3.11 points to end at 55.46 and Energy Fuels Inc. (TSX:) was up 2.72% or 0.22 points to 8.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Badger Infrastructure Solutions Ltd (TSX:), which fell 6.47% or 2.57 points to trade at 37.15 at the close. Birchcliff Energy Ltd . (TSX:) declined 3.96% or 0.25 points to end at 6.07 and Aya Gold & Silver Inc (TSX:) was down 3.70% or 0.54 points to 14.07.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 521 to 401 and 114 ended unchanged.
Shares in Altus Group Limited (TSX:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.94% or 3.11 to 55.46.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.32% or 7.60 to $2,371.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.74% or 0.61 to hit $81.72 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.97% or 0.83 to trade at $84.92 a barrel.
CAD/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 0.73, while CAD/EUR unchanged 0.10% to 0.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 104.79.
