Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the rose 0.24% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Mandatum Oyj (HE:), which rose 1.85% or 0.09 points to trade at 4.67 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:) added 1.77% or 0.24 points to end at 13.79 and Elisa Oyj (HE:) was up 1.04% or 0.44 points to 42.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:), which fell 2.53% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.89 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:) declined 1.95% or 0.68 points to end at 34.16 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:) was down 1.09% or 0.05 points to 4.52.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 89 to 78 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mandatum Oyj (HE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.85% or 0.09 to 4.67.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.05% or 0.04 to $79.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $75.85 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 10.44 to trade at $2,769.64 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 108.00.
