Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the added 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the were Neste Oyj (HE:), which rose 1.93% or 0.36 points to trade at 18.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:) added 1.70% or 0.71 points to end at 42.46 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:) was up 1.43% or 0.43 points to 30.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (HE:), which fell 2.82% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.68 at the close. Valmet Oyj (HE:) declined 1.54% or 0.41 points to end at 26.21 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:) was down 0.85% or 0.32 points to 37.46.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 94 to 68 and 27 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 2.97% or 2.32 to $80.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.45% or 2.58 to hit $77.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 16.05 to trade at $2,467.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 103.91.
