Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the added 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:), which rose 2.69% or 0.09 points to trade at 3.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:) added 1.91% or 0.24 points to end at 12.82 and KONE Oyj (HE:) was up 1.81% or 0.84 points to 47.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmet Oyj (HE:), which fell 1.83% or 0.50 points to trade at 26.75 at the close. Qt Group Oyj (HE:) declined 1.18% or 0.95 points to end at 79.85 and Elisa Oyj (HE:) was down 0.75% or 0.32 points to 42.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 101 to 70 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.23% or 0.20 to $86.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.24% or 0.20 to hit $83.01 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.68% or 39.15 to trade at $2,372.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.50% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 104.90.
