Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the added 0.38% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Metso Oyj (HE:), which rose 4.85% or 0.45 points to trade at 9.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:) added 3.05% or 1.50 points to end at 50.74 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:) was up 2.18% or 0.06 points to 2.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:), which fell 2.85% or 0.52 points to trade at 17.59 at the close. Valmet Oyj (HE:) declined 2.41% or 0.63 points to end at 25.47 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:) was down 2.03% or 0.09 points to 4.43.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 69 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.05% or 1.50 to 50.74.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.67% or 0.53 to $78.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.81% or 0.61 to hit $74.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 10.26 to trade at $2,760.64 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 107.93.
