Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the rose 0.85% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were KONE Oyj (HE:), which rose 1.82% or 0.86 points to trade at 48.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes ABP (HE:) added 1.72% or 1.05 points to end at 62.10 and Kojamo (HE:) was up 1.56% or 0.14 points to 9.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:), which fell 0.33% or 0.16 points to trade at 47.50 at the close. Valmet Oyj (HE:) declined 0.31% or 0.08 points to end at 25.70 and Kemira Oyj (HE:) was down 0.09% or 0.02 points to 21.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 117 to 48 and 23 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 2.20% or 1.70 to $78.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.36% or 1.72 to hit $74.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.17% or 29.35 to trade at $2,546.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.67% at 100.72.
