Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the declined 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the were Cargotec Oyj (HE:), which rose 2.92% or 1.35 points to trade at 47.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:) added 1.69% or 0.32 points to end at 19.22 and Kemira Oyj (HE:) was up 1.03% or 0.22 points to 21.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:), which fell 1.52% or 0.47 points to trade at 30.42 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:) declined 1.20% or 0.08 points to end at 6.16 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:) was down 1.04% or 0.12 points to 11.38.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 84 to 81 and 24 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.80% or 1.37 to $77.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.81% or 1.30 to hit $73.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.16% or 29.60 to trade at $2,517.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 101.36.
