Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the declined 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:), which rose 1.22% or 0.24 points to trade at 19.94 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HE:) added 1.14% or 0.10 points to end at 9.20 and Elisa Oyj (HE:) was up 1.00% or 0.48 points to 48.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:), which fell 4.06% or 0.46 points to trade at 10.75 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:) declined 3.24% or 0.94 points to end at 28.03 and Kemira Oyj (HE:) was down 1.92% or 0.42 points to 21.48.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 100 to 67 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.24% or 0.94 to 28.03.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.05% or 0.04 to $74.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $70.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 7.10 to trade at $2,686.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 103.28.
