Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the fell 1.47% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Kesko Oyj (HE:), which rose 11.23% or 2.02 points to trade at 20.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes ABP (HE:) added 0.78% or 0.50 points to end at 64.40 and Orion Oyj B (HE:) was up 0.74% or 0.33 points to 44.67 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:), which fell 4.39% or 1.25 points to trade at 27.20 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:) declined 3.69% or 0.34 points to end at 8.82 and KONE Oyj (HE:) was down 3.23% or 1.68 points to 50.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 109 to 62 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kesko Oyj (HE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 11.23% or 2.02 to 20.01. Shares in UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.39% or 1.25 to 27.20.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.95% or 1.38 to $72.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.04% or 1.37 to hit $68.58 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 16.00 to trade at $2,797.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.40% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.53% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 103.89.
