Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the added 0.21%, while the index added 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the were Schneider Electric SE (EPA:), which rose 1.39% or 3.30 points to trade at 240.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (EPA:) added 1.20% or 1.66 points to end at 139.50 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) was up 1.09% or 0.50 points to 46.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kering SA (EPA:), which fell 3.02% or 6.50 points to trade at 208.45 at the close. Bouygues SA (EPA:) declined 1.17% or 0.34 points to end at 28.65 and Vivendi SA (EPA:) was down 1.05% or 0.09 points to 8.64.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Soitec SA (EPA:) which rose 7.48% to 68.25, Nexity (EPA:) which was up 2.13% to settle at 12.45 and Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:) which gained 1.43% to close at 198.40.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:) which was down 18.91% to 0.16 in late trade, Elior Group (EPA:) which lost 11.75% to settle at 2.75 and Emeis SA (EPA:) which was down 6.89% to 5.21 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 299 to 173 and 106 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kering SA (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; down 3.02% or 6.50 to 208.45. Shares in Bouygues SA (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.17% or 0.34 to 28.65. Shares in Vivendi SA (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.05% or 0.09 to 8.64.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.48% or 12.70 to $2,664.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.37% or 0.94 to hit $69.69 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.26% or 0.92 to trade at $73.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.75% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 107.10.
