Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the gained 0.44% to hit a new 6-months high, while the index added 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the were Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:), which rose 4.49% or 4.75 points to trade at 110.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Kering SA (EPA:) added 4.49% or 11.10 points to end at 258.30 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) was up 3.22% or 0.74 points to 23.71 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vinci SA (EPA:), which fell 1.54% or 1.60 points to trade at 102.35 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) declined 1.14% or 0.28 points to end at 24.30 and Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:) was down 0.88% or 0.24 points to 26.94.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Forvia (EPA:) which rose 7.52% to 10.26, Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) which was up 7.02% to settle at 11.89 and Remy Cointreau (EPA:) which gained 6.07% to close at 57.65.
The worst performers were Imerys SA (EPA:) which was down 4.22% to 26.36 in late trade, ICADE (EPA:) which lost 1.89% to settle at 21.76 and Eiffage SA (EPA:) which was down 1.65% to 84.68 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 241 to 232 and 106 ended unchanged.
Shares in Imerys SA (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.22% or 1.16 to 26.36.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.51% or 14.09 to $2,779.09 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.50% or 0.37 to hit $74.25 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.11 to trade at $78.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.95% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.73% at 107.08.
