Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.51%, while the index gained 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the were Airbus Group SE (EPA:), which rose 4.13% or 5.76 points to trade at 145.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Edenred SA (EPA:) added 2.95% or 0.88 points to end at 30.69 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:) was up 2.64% or 2.28 points to 88.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vivendi SA (EPA:), which fell 1.65% or 0.15 points to trade at 8.68 at the close. L’Oreal SA (EPA:) declined 1.19% or 3.95 points to end at 328.90 and Kering SA (EPA:) was down 0.88% or 1.95 points to 219.80.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Voltalia SA (EPA:) which rose 6.92% to 7.73, Clariane SE (EPA:) which was up 5.29% to settle at 1.89 and Emeis SA (EPA:) which gained 4.22% to close at 5.68.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:) which was down 22.86% to 0.78 in late trade, Nexity (EPA:) which lost 5.59% to settle at 11.66 and Elior Group (EPA:) which was down 3.33% to 2.50 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 272 to 226 and 92 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.02% or 0.49 to $2,665.29 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.19% or 0.13 to hit $68.85 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.16 to trade at $72.46 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 106.15.
