Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.79%, while the index gained 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which rose 3.37% or 0.75 points to trade at 22.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Vinci SA (EPA:) added 2.88% or 2.90 points to end at 103.65 and Danone SA (EPA:) was up 2.52% or 1.66 points to 67.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:), which fell 0.90% or 0.54 points to trade at 59.73 at the close. EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:) declined 0.64% or 1.40 points to end at 218.10 and Orange SA (EPA:) was down 0.54% or 0.06 points to 10.05.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Clariane SE (EPA:) which rose 10.94% to 2.12, Vusiongroup SA (EPA:) which was up 5.98% to settle at 150.70 and Emeis SA (EPA:) which gained 5.70% to close at 5.73.
The worst performers were Mersen (EPA:) which was down 3.75% to 21.80 in late trade, Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) which lost 2.54% to settle at 13.41 and Eramet SA (EPA:) which was down 2.09% to 53.80 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 261 to 228 and 92 ended unchanged.
Shares in Danone SA (EPA:) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 2.52% or 1.66 to 67.44. Shares in Mersen (EPA:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.75% or 0.85 to 21.80.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.70 to $2,753.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 5.70% or 4.09 to hit $67.69 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 5.62% or 4.25 to trade at $71.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 104.15.
