Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 1.22%, while the index gained 1.17%.
The best performers of the session on the were Airbus Group SE (EPA:), which rose 3.93% or 5.34 points to trade at 141.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) added 3.67% or 8.75 points to end at 247.45 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:) was up 2.84% or 2.80 points to 101.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which fell 0.76% or 0.76 points to trade at 98.84 at the close. Engie SA (EPA:) declined 0.71% or 0.12 points to end at 16.02 and Edenred SA (EPA:) was down 0.59% or 0.20 points to 33.42.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:) which rose 17.68% to 208.00, Lectra SA (EPA:) which was up 8.32% to settle at 27.35 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) which gained 4.67% to close at 13.67.
The worst performers were Forvia (EPA:) which was down 6.50% to 7.45 in late trade, Emeis SA (EPA:) which lost 5.95% to settle at 5.32 and Clariane SE (EPA:) which was down 5.38% to 1.57 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 261 to 209 and 112 ended unchanged.
Shares in Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) rose to all time highs; rising 3.67% or 8.75 to 247.45. Shares in Forvia (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 6.50% or 0.52 to 7.45.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.54% or 14.45 to $2,705.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $70.53 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $74.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.38% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 103.61.
