Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the declined 0.08%, while the index fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sanofi SA (EPA:), which rose 2.54% or 2.48 points to trade at 100.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Renault SA (EPA:) added 2.18% or 0.92 points to end at 43.10 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) was up 1.23% or 0.27 points to 22.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vinci SA (EPA:), which fell 3.40% or 3.55 points to trade at 100.75 at the close. Capgemini SE (EPA:) declined 2.75% or 4.95 points to end at 175.05 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:) was down 2.57% or 0.83 points to 31.52.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Clariane SE (EPA:) which rose 14.43% to 1.91, Emeis SA (EPA:) which was up 6.54% to settle at 5.42 and Viridien SA (EPA:) which gained 4.64% to close at 35.19.
The worst performers were X Fab Silicon Foundries EV (EPA:) which was down 9.84% to 4.65 in late trade, Valeo SA (EPA:) which lost 9.45% to settle at 9.42 and Alten SA (EPA:) which was down 7.34% to 82.00 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 259 to 213 and 104 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.57% or 0.83 to 31.52. Shares in Alten SA (EPA:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 7.34% or 6.50 to 82.00.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.08% or 2.20 to $2,751.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.87% or 1.31 to hit $71.50 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.83% or 1.36 to trade at $75.74 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.06.
