Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the lost 0.24%, while the index fell 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the were Engie SA (EPA:), which rose 1.14% or 0.18 points to trade at 15.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:) added 0.82% or 0.24 points to end at 29.49 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:) was up 0.69% or 0.43 points to 62.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which fell 2.76% or 2.46 points to trade at 86.54 at the close. Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) declined 2.00% or 1.12 points to end at 54.96 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) was down 1.71% or 1.30 points to 74.72.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Worldline SA (EPA:) which rose 2.93% to 6.54, SCOR SE (EPA:) which was up 2.80% to settle at 20.54 and Viridien SA (EPA:) which gained 1.89% to close at 33.41.
The worst performers were Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which was down 6.59% to 1.22 in late trade, Emeis SA (EPA:) which lost 4.20% to settle at 5.52 and Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:) which was down 3.65% to 184.80 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 285 to 199 and 110 ended unchanged.
Shares in Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; down 6.59% or 0.09 to 1.22.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.65% or 17.15 to $2,643.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.04% or 2.23 to hit $75.47 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.08% or 2.36 to trade at $78.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 102.71.
