Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the lost 0.26%, while the index lost 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the were Engie SA (EPA:), which rose 1.14% or 0.17 points to trade at 15.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Accor SA (EPA:) added 0.57% or 0.19 points to end at 33.30 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) was up 0.57% or 0.30 points to 53.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which fell 4.47% or 4.70 points to trade at 100.50 at the close. L’Oreal SA (EPA:) declined 1.28% or 5.00 points to end at 386.00 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:) was down 1.12% or 1.52 points to 134.46.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were SES (EPA:) which rose 2.30% to 4.54, Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:) which was up 1.44% to settle at 4.23 and Lectra SA (EPA:) which gained 1.19% to close at 25.50.
The worst performers were Soitec SA (EPA:) which was down 4.52% to 107.70 in late trade, Teleperformance SE (EPA:) which lost 4.47% to settle at 100.50 and SCOR SE (EPA:) which was down 4.10% to 17.07 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 282 to 183 and 111 ended unchanged.
Shares in SCOR SE (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.10% or 0.73 to 17.07.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.12% or 27.30 to $2,459.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.88% or 0.66 to hit $75.89 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.37 to trade at $78.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.48% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 103.05.
