Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the lost 0.40%, while the index fell 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which rose 11.19% or 10.02 points to trade at 99.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Renault SA (EPA:) added 1.97% or 0.77 points to end at 39.95 and Accor SA (EPA:) was up 1.95% or 0.80 points to 41.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:), which fell 3.68% or 23.00 points to trade at 602.40 at the close. L’Oreal SA (EPA:) declined 2.18% or 8.20 points to end at 368.20 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:) was down 1.34% or 28.00 points to 2,056.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:) which rose 11.19% to 99.60, Atos SE (EPA:) which was up 6.83% to settle at 0.73 and Alstom SA (EPA:) which gained 6.46% to close at 20.44.
The worst performers were Eramet SA (EPA:) which was down 14.03% to 56.70 in late trade, Ipsos (EPA:) which lost 13.14% to settle at 46.60 and Lectra SA (EPA:) which was down 9.17% to 25.25 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 245 to 231 and 104 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eramet SA (EPA:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 14.03% or 9.25 to 56.70. Shares in Alstom SA (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.46% or 1.24 to 20.44.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 5.15 to $2,684.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.23% or 0.16 to hit $70.42 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.09% or 0.07 to trade at $74.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.40% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 103.27.
