Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the fell 0.58%, while the index fell 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:), which rose 4.03% or 1.78 points to trade at 46.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Hermes International SCA (EPA:) added 1.42% or 31.00 points to end at 2,209.00 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) was up 1.42% or 10.30 points to 736.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airbus Group SE (EPA:), which fell 9.41% or 14.00 points to trade at 134.78 at the close. Safran SA (EPA:) declined 3.28% or 6.75 points to end at 199.25 and Thales (EPA:) was down 1.93% or 3.05 points to 155.05.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:) which rose 11.13% to 1.20, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) which was up 4.03% to settle at 46.00 and Clariane SE (EPA:) which gained 2.89% to close at 2.35.
The worst performers were Airbus Group SE (EPA:) which was down 9.41% to 134.78 in late trade, Trigano SA (EPA:) which lost 5.92% to settle at 112.90 and Nexity (EPA:) which was down 4.39% to 8.60 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 333 to 179 and 98 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trigano SA (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.92% or 7.10 to 112.90. Shares in Nexity (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.39% or 0.40 to 8.60.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.33% or 7.80 to $2,336.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.61% or 0.50 to hit $81.13 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.68% or 0.58 to trade at $84.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 105.35.
