Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Sanofi SA (EPA:), which rose 1.48% or 1.54 points to trade at 105.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) added 1.22% or 0.62 points to end at 51.42 and Danone SA (EPA:) was up 1.07% or 0.68 points to 64.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:), which fell 4.22% or 28.30 points to trade at 642.60 at the close. Hermes International SCA (EPA:) declined 3.84% or 83.00 points to end at 2,081.00 and Kering SA (EPA:) was down 2.22% or 5.65 points to 248.50.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Clariane SE (EPA:) which rose 2.99% to 1.79, Euroapi SAS (EPA:) which was up 2.54% to settle at 4.12 and Television Francaise 1 SA (EPA:) which gained 1.71% to close at 8.02.
The worst performers were Mersen (EPA:) which was down 6.12% to 28.40 in late trade, Alten SA (EPA:) which lost 6.01% to settle at 91.55 and Atos SE (EPA:) which was down 4.62% to 0.69 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 294 to 186 and 93 ended unchanged.

Shares in Kering SA (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 2.22% or 5.65 to 248.50. Shares in Mersen (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.12% or 1.85 to 28.40. Shares in Alten SA (EPA:) fell to 3-years lows; down 6.01% or 5.85 to 91.55.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.10% or 2.40 to $2,525.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.91% or 0.64 to hit $69.70 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.77% or 0.57 to trade at $73.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 101.33.
