Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the declined 1.01%, while the index lost 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:), which rose 0.47% or 0.28 points to trade at 59.94 at the close. Meanwhile, EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:) added 0.32% or 0.70 points to end at 217.60 and Renault SA (EPA:) was up 0.20% or 0.08 points to 40.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:), which fell 4.71% or 2.66 points to trade at 53.76 at the close. L’Oreal SA (EPA:) declined 2.41% or 9.00 points to end at 363.70 and Kering SA (EPA:) was down 2.35% or 5.60 points to 232.45.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Elior Group (EPA:) which rose 7.68% to 4.15, Forvia (EPA:) which was up 5.25% to settle at 8.38 and Opmobility SE (EPA:) which gained 3.14% to close at 8.88.
The worst performers were Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:) which was down 6.14% to 198.90 in late trade, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) which lost 4.71% to settle at 53.76 and Emeis SA (EPA:) which was down 4.26% to 5.12 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 318 to 186 and 89 ended unchanged.
Shares in EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:) rose to all time highs; rising 0.32% or 0.70 to 217.60. Shares in L’Oreal SA (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.41% or 9.00 to 363.70. Shares in Elior Group (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 7.68% or 0.30 to 4.15. Shares in Emeis SA (EPA:) fell to all time lows; losing 4.26% or 0.23 to 5.12.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 5.90 to $2,735.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.94% or 1.33 to hit $70.02 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.60% or 1.17 to trade at $74.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 103.75.
