Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Edenred SA (EPA:), which rose 3.66% or 1.33 points to trade at 37.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) added 3.33% or 1.61 points to end at 49.92 and Orange SA (EPA:) was up 1.29% or 0.13 points to 10.21 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:), which fell 4.66% or 32.20 points to trade at 659.40 at the close. Kering SA (EPA:) declined 4.54% or 14.30 points to end at 300.60 and Safran SA (EPA:) was down 2.48% or 5.10 points to 200.50.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Nexans SA (EPA:) which rose 8.30% to 116.10, Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:) which was up 7.71% to settle at 174.70 and Edenred SA (EPA:) which gained 3.66% to close at 37.62.
The worst performers were LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) which was down 4.66% to 659.40 in late trade, Kering SA (EPA:) which lost 4.54% to settle at 300.60 and Metropole Television SA (EPA:) which was down 4.06% to 12.30 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 277 to 203 and 99 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.65% or 15.75 to $2,423.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.05% or 0.81 to hit $77.77 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.02% or 0.83 to trade at $81.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 103.96.
