Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the declined 1.19%, while the index gained 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the were Vivendi SA (EPA:), which rose 0.86% or 0.10 points to trade at 11.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:) added 0.54% or 0.60 points to end at 112.65 and BNP Paribas SA (EPA:) was up 0.48% or 0.30 points to 62.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kering SA (EPA:), which fell 5.28% or 17.90 points to trade at 321.30 at the close. Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) declined 2.73% or 1.34 points to end at 47.68 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) was down 2.65% or 19.20 points to 705.60.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:) which rose 19.22% to 1.28, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which was up 5.62% to settle at 1.77 and Elior Group (EPA:) which gained 4.97% to close at 3.04.
The worst performers were Emeis SA (EPA:) which was down 5.93% to 12.30 in late trade, Kering SA (EPA:) which lost 5.28% to settle at 321.30 and Inter Parfums Inc. (EPA:) which was down 3.02% to 38.60 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 274 to 225 and 99 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vivendi SA (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.86% or 0.10 to 11.08.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.75% or 18.20 to $2,438.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.22% or 0.18 to hit $80.84 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.14 to trade at $84.89 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.85.
