Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.35%, while the index declined 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the were Edenred SA (EPA:), which rose 3.06% or 1.10 points to trade at 36.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:) added 1.63% or 1.65 points to end at 103.10 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) was up 1.59% or 3.35 points to 214.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which fell 1.72% or 0.35 points to trade at 19.77 at the close. Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:) declined 0.84% or 0.29 points to end at 34.05 and Stellantis NV (EPA:) was down 0.72% or 0.10 points to 13.88.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Valneva (EPA:) which rose 7.81% to 3.31, Clariane SE (EPA:) which was up 6.58% to settle at 1.98 and Gaztransport et Technigaz SA (EPA:) which gained 5.22% to close at 133.00.
The worst performers were Eramet SA (EPA:) which was down 3.59% to 69.75 in late trade, Atos SE (EPA:) which lost 3.27% to settle at 0.82 and Remy Cointreau (EPA:) which was down 2.52% to 67.80 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 264 to 202 and 108 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stellantis NV (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.72% or 0.10 to 13.88. Shares in Remy Cointreau (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 2.52% or 1.75 to 67.80.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.21% or 5.15 to $2,509.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.10% or 1.68 to hit $78.38 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.96% or 1.61 to trade at $80.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 102.69.
