Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.42%, while the index fell 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the were Safran SA (EPA:), which rose 2.60% or 5.20 points to trade at 205.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (EPA:) added 2.58% or 3.36 points to end at 133.58 and EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:) was up 2.22% or 4.60 points to 212.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:), which fell 2.06% or 0.64 points to trade at 30.42 at the close. Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:) declined 2.00% or 2.50 points to end at 122.55 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) was down 1.05% or 2.30 points to 216.10.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:) which rose 18.48% to 1.01, Vusiongroup SA (EPA:) which was up 4.30% to settle at 138.30 and Euronext (EPA:) which gained 2.72% to close at 94.45.
The worst performers were Rexel (EPA:) which was down 6.83% to 23.48 in late trade, Emeis SA (EPA:) which lost 3.59% to settle at 10.60 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which was down 2.62% to 1.56 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 255 to 218 and 107 ended unchanged.
Shares in STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.06% or 0.64 to 30.42. Shares in Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.00% or 2.50 to 122.55. Shares in EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.22% or 4.60 to 212.20. Shares in Euronext (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.72% or 2.50 to 94.45.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 5.40 to $2,430.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.48% or 1.12 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.29% or 1.02 to trade at $78.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 104.39.
