Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.52%, while the index fell 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the were Safran SA (EPA:), which rose 3.16% or 6.20 points to trade at 202.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Legrand SA (EPA:) added 2.94% or 2.90 points to end at 101.60 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) was up 2.79% or 6.15 points to 226.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edenred SA (EPA:), which fell 2.58% or 0.95 points to trade at 35.88 at the close. Sanofi SA (EPA:) declined 1.68% or 1.76 points to end at 102.80 and Vinci SA (EPA:) was down 1.64% or 1.80 points to 108.10.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were ICADE (EPA:) which rose 5.21% to 24.64, Nexity (EPA:) which was up 4.68% to settle at 11.19 and Elior Group (EPA:) which gained 4.05% to close at 3.65.
The worst performers were Clariane SE (EPA:) which was down 3.70% to 1.61 in late trade, Eiffage SA (EPA:) which lost 3.27% to settle at 92.40 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) which was down 2.62% to 11.69 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 258 to 215 and 105 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 2.62% or 0.32 to 11.69.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.50% or 38.10 to $2,580.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.12% or 2.10 to hit $69.41 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.61% or 1.84 to trade at $72.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 101.49.
