Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.86%, while the index declined 1.61%.
The best performers of the session on the were Vivendi SA (EPA:), which rose 3.20% or 0.32 points to trade at 10.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) added 2.27% or 1.06 points to end at 47.75 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:) was up 2.27% or 2.40 points to 108.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:), which fell 1.09% or 1.09 points to trade at 99.06 at the close. Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:) declined 0.69% or 0.24 points to end at 34.63 and Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:) was down 0.52% or 0.15 points to 28.62.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:) which rose 10.87% to 0.73, Technip Energies BV (EPA:) which was up 6.03% to settle at 22.52 and Alstom SA (EPA:) which gained 5.17% to close at 16.77.
The worst performers were Mersen (EPA:) which was down 2.63% to 33.30 in late trade, Lectra SA (EPA:) which lost 1.68% to settle at 29.20 and Solvay SA (EBR:) which was down 1.45% to 32.04 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 254 to 217 and 108 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.76% or 17.90 to $2,385.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.34% or 1.09 to hit $82.50 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.02% or 0.86 to trade at $85.52 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 104.74.
