Meanwhile, Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) added 3.65% or 1.35 points to end at 38.35 and Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:) was up 2.21% or 2.14 points to 99.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which fell 3.50% or 17.60 points to trade at 485.80 at the close. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) declined 2.00% or 5.00 points to end at 244.60 and Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.28% or 0.76 points to 58.70.
The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 20.09% to 10.70, Puma SE (ETR:) which was up 5.01% to settle at 42.54 and Traton SE (ETR:) which gained 3.66% to close at 31.15.
The worst performers were Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was down 3.25% to 58.00 in late trade, Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which lost 2.55% to settle at 82.10 and Hypoport AG (ETR:) which was down 2.01% to 253.80 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which rose 7.65% to 16.60, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was up 2.53% to settle at 62.80 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which gained 2.07% to close at 15.05.
The worst performers were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.40% to 42.04 in late trade, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which lost 3.25% to settle at 58.00 and Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:) which was down 2.58% to 60.30 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 332 to 280 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; up 3.65% or 1.35 to 38.35. Shares in Siltronic AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.25% or 1.95 to 58.00. Shares in Siltronic AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.25% or 1.95 to 58.00. Shares in Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.58% or 1.60 to 60.30.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.03% or 0.90 to $2,749.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.91% or 1.34 to hit $71.53 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.86% or 1.38 to trade at $75.76 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 104.06.
